Ghorabi Sand dunes

From Hot Spring Hotel by FWD with our local Driver/Guide towards Northern End of Bahariya Depression lies a huge sand dune strip called Ghorabi. First you drive across "Bir Matar" to cross the small hamlet of "Bir Ghaba" to go on the old caravan route leading towards Cairo, which was working until the asphalt road was built 1980, leaving the Bahariya Depression through a natural opening at the tomb of Sheik Gadaffi.

Soon the triple dune does appear, which makes it very difficult to cross, therefore we just drive along the dune and of course you may climb it by yourself.
